Drink Driving

Take a good look at the back of your learners or Provisional licence and read the conditions-0 Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC). As a young driver you have probably seen and heard numerous media commercials, posters and advertisements quoting " Don't Drink and Drive". This is a very important message and something that should be understood and followed when you're out on the road. We already know that driving is one of the most dangerous things you do during the day and by adding alcohol to the mix it just spells a recipe for disaster. Sure, you might get home safely occasionally but if you're faced with a situation which requires sharp reflexes, you'll find much slower reaction times in decision making and danger avoidance.

Across all states in Australia it is a serious offense to drive whilst under the influence of alcohol. Drink driving penalties are serious, including loss of licence and visa. If you get prosecuted for drink driving you may be denied entry into countries like America as well (so say goodbye to that trip that you planed to New York to watch the Yankees hit a few home runs).

You as the driver are responsible not only for your own safety, but for the safety of your passengers and other road users. Be street smart and avoid drink driving. The risks and likely consequences are just too sever to be tested.
